Dear Principal, Mr. Idris bin Ahmad
I would like to invite you and your students to visit the Radio Control Airplane Modeler Sport Association (R.C.S.A) where we are engaged in an exciting service-learning project. The R.C.S.A has similar objectives with the Ministry of Education ( KPM) and that is to encourage students to exchange ideas outside the classroom in the approach for academics. The R.C.S.A engages students not only for the technical knowledge about electronics, it encourages them to combine historic and modern day art to create distinguishable RC planes. Students become more interested in learning about aviation which encourages them to read more, further develop the ideas amongst schools and therefore decrease the involvement of youth in drugs and drug abuse.
May we suggest that you visit us around May 4th, 2011. This would give you and your students a close facilitate to build a balance and high performance plane besides an opportunity to see the initial program in action which will be held on the 6th of May before the main event in Phetchaburi Rajabhat University, Petchaburi, Bangkok, THAILAND. The R.C.S.A and Thai PBS TV station will sponsor free training of how to build your own RC plane to the general public. After the program, we would head out to Phetchaburi Rajabhat University, Petchaburi for the contest competing for His Majesty the King's Royal Trophy held from May 7th – 8th , 2011. It would be an honor for our Association to have you and your students join us as I think that this would be a wonderful opportunity for the students to meet and build a good relationship among them.
